The Blacklist

Check & Report Scammers & Fraudsters

About Us

Welcome to The Blacklist. If you’ve landed here you’re either reporting an experience or you’re named in one of our reports. Most common questions are answered on our Scam Reports and Contact pages.

Short version: we publish a searchable database of verified spammers, scammers, and fraudsters so businesses and individuals can check people and companies before they work with them.

What We Do

We investigate reports, publish scam alerts and educational write-ups, and surface evidence so others don’t get hurt. We’ve exposed high-profile frauds and we publish the results of our research so readers, journalists, and businesses can make safer decisions.

Why We Do It

To improve transparency online and to protect innocent people and honest businesses, and yes, to push repeat offenders to stop. If you believe a listing is incorrect or you need to report fraud (anonymously if safety requires), submit a report or contact us through the pages linked below.

Who We List: Short, Strict Rules

Adults only.

We do not index minors: anyone under 18 years old, or projects they were involved with while a minor. Very rare newsworthy exceptions may be limited to the specific event that made the minor notable (for example, a widely reported crime victim or a teenage world-record holder), and even then we focus only on the news event itself.

Online activity only.

We index people and brands that operate on the internet: social profiles, websites, apps, ads, marketplaces, email campaigns, and other online influence or commercial activity. Offline-only roles (e.g., warehouse staff, local hourly jobs) are outside our scope unless the person’s actions directly affect online audiences or internet infrastructure (for example, public-facing tech roles or coordinated online disinformation). We will also include certain public servants (e.g., elected officials, judges, public school employees) when their online conduct or role is relevant to the public interest.

Influencers & online operators, primarily.

This is not a directory of every person who exists. It’s a transparency database aimed at people and organizations that use the web to sell, advertise, influence, or otherwise reach broad audiences. Big-scale advertisers, mass-market promoters, sellers running online schemes, and people who habitually use paid reach or mass messaging are our focus. Small hobbyists or one-off personal sites are generally out of scope unless their activity affects many people.

Reviews & Submissions: The Rules

  • You may post reviews if you use your real name and attest that you have direct, personal experience with the person or brand you’re writing about.
  • You can edit or remove your own reviews at any time.
  • We will remove content that uses fake identities, contains only spam or gibberish, or offers no substantive information (e.g., one-line trash talk, URL spam).
  • We do not publish doxxing (private contact info exposed without consent), threats, or content that would put someone’s safety at risk.
  • If you disagree with a listing or believe something is incorrect, follow our report or contact process. We investigate claims and correct or remove listings when warranted.

Report Fraud & Scams Anonymously

If you’ve been the victim of an online scam or other type of fraud, and you fear for your personal safety or possible retaliation, please report the experience so that we can review and publish your report.
